Best Whiskey, and Is Whiskey better Cold, or Room Temperature?!

Question:

Best Whiskey, and Is Whiskey better Cold, or Room Temperature?

I'm looking for a really good whiskey, best of the best, give me a list from greatest to least. also, is whiskey better cold or at room temperature? best answer gets 10 points.

Answers: From personal experience, with brands I have drank, I would list them in this order.
#1 Crown Royal
#2 Jack Daniel
#3 Jim Beam
#4 Black velvet (avoid this one, it's horrible)

If you like sweeter drinks, compared to sour, 100 proof southern comfort is a sure fire bet, although I'm not 100% its whiskey.

As for tempature, I perfer cold, and considering that higher alchoal content drinks dont freeze, you can keep them in the freezer without them going solid, and wont need to use ice (unless you drink them slow.) The best of the best is Loch Dhu black whiskey. It's about $300 a bottle....IF you can find it. And it's best consumed in small glasses straight at room temperature. Oh I love these questions, why? because I have been collecting whiskey's for over 40 years and have over 2000 bottles of single malt .. sadly most are now empty .. my favourites .. depends on my mood. melancholy Tallisker or Caol Isla .. relaxed and reflective .. Longmorn or Highland Park .. party mood .. Glenmorangie or Glenfiddich (cheap and cheerful) .. romantic and playful .. Bruachladdich or Bunnahabhein .. drinking with ice .. Edradour or Laphroaig .. of course others will suffice when I am feeling naughty .. and at my age that isn't often
