Best Alchoholic Drink For Non-Alchohol Drinker?!

Question:

Best Alchoholic Drink For Non-Alchohol Drinker?

hi i was planning on buying a bottle of baileys, for myself to drink at a party tomorrow night, but was informed that it has a nasty hangover if too much is consumed, due to the dairy content, I wanted baileys, because I can't handle the after taste of most alchohol, the cringe effect you could call it, so my question is what other types of alchohol are tasty, but wont make me cringe, yet I am trying to get drunk... any suggestions at all?

Answers:
Try a fortified wine like Port or Sherry

If your starting out you should go with beer, Stay away from hard liquor. Have fun!!!!

Smirnoff Ice....tastes of sweet lemonade, you won't even know it's alcoholic. As a learner drinker you'd probably only need 3 or 4 of those.

Of course...I am presuming that you are of age ...and will go slow and not over top! Have fun.

if you don't drink, then why start, I hope you get a HUGE hangover!

I don't think it has to do with having dairy , it would be the sugar content. Sugars or sweet drinks give hangovers as alcohol turns into sugars plus the added sugar in certain drinks makes for alot of sugar going into the bloodstream .. add to the fact that alcohol dehydrates you, you get alot of concentrated sugar... so if you like sweet stuff to disguise the alcohol taste then if you drink too much you will get a hangover. if you can remember to take a couple of aspirin or tylenol before you start drinking that seems to help a little... don't drive...be safe..

Try a Midori sweet and sour. 1 part Midori - 2 parts sweet and sour and a cherry. The Midori is the only thing with alcohol and its pretty mild. In about 4 you'll start to feel it. It's a great social drink without being drunk. There is also a generic Midori if you want to go a little cheaper. ENJOY!

I would go with baby duck wine. Even if you don't like wine, you'll like this stuff. It barely has an alcoholic taste, so your good to go! Plus a magnum of it is only like $15!

If you aren't a drinker, or are new to it, there are a lot of things that you probably will not like. Beer and most wines are somewhat of an aquired taste.

Baily's has a nice taste to it, but I couldn't imagine drinking a lot of it straight. Smirnoff Ice, Bacardi Silver, and the like should taste pretty good to you, but if you're a guy, well its kind of a girly drink. Mikes hard lemonaide is ok for a guy to drink.
If you insist on a liquor, you could try something like Malibu rum, which isn't too strong, but still has a lot of sugar and might leave you with a hangover. If you want something strong, try a good vodka like Absolute and mix it with cranberry juice, just experiment with the amounts to see what you like. But be careful or it will put you on your **** before the night is over.

white wine will give you less of a hangover than red.

I find vodka is smooth and if you mix it with lemonade you will not have the cringe factor.. Also you can mix it very, very lightly, (half a nip to a drink) and noone will know how easy you are going... Drink water in between the vodka to help with the hangover the next day, and a glass of water before you go to bed.

just take it slow and enjoy the night.. not the drink..

smirnoff

Definitely an RTD (Ready To Drink), such as Vodka Cruisers, Vodka Breezers, Midori Illusions, Smirnoff Ice's etc. They all taste wonderful, and come in a wide range of fruity flavours. Or, you could buy a bottle of Malibu (Coconut flavoured White Rum) and mix it with some pineapple juice - my all time fave!

Water.
