Is Cider and Black a popular drink outside of the South West?!

Question: I live on the stuff but on a recent visit to Slough (never again), the barman refused to serve it.

So from now on, until I have proff it is served elsewhere, Dorset remains my bubble!

Yes. I live in Bedfordshire (don't laugh), and cider and black is popular with ladies. Not really one that blokes seem happy being seen drinking in the pub. Most of our drinkers prefer Special Brew in the graveyard, from what I've seen.
I serve it at the pub i work at in RI, USA.
Mid Wales it ain't popular in my local mate?? and i do get around a bit,and it's not something i have seen before??
Black as in currant yes??
popular !!!!!

i dont even know what it is , is it cider and blackurrant or cider and another beer

if its cider and blackurrant are you sure the barman just didnt want to serve you , as i cannot see what the problem would be

I don't think it's that popular even in the SW
I live in the Northeast and a lot of people drink it up here. Or they drink diesel which is cider, lager and black.
I drink Magners and black ,you should try it if you haven't done so already.
I come from the Reading area and have drank the stuff for years ,as do a lot of my friends.
Can I also reccomend a pint of Snakebite and Black,we call it a Purple Nasty and it certainly hits all the right spots but ,be carefull,it can be very deceptive.
Yes, its very popular in the Northeast
I live near Newcastle upon tyne and it is served up here in Geordie land. Love the stuff, lol.
My son and son in law drink it and we live in the south east.
You are probably about 12 and so too young to appreciate or like the taste of cider and you need to make it sweet by putting in blackcurrent.

Stick to alcopops laddie!!
