Fruit and Vodka?!

Question:

Fruit and Vodka?

What other fruit besides watermelon is good soaked in vodka? I'm having a BBQ tomorrow and want to make something refreshing and fun for the adults. Oh and how long should I soak it?

Answers:
pineapple, kiwi, grapes cut in half- anything that will soak the alcohol up a little bit- citrus is always good, too.

how long you want to soak depends on how saturated you want the fruit to be. i would say a few hours...

Strawberries I would leave them in there and let people eat them out of the bowl like that.

fresh peaches and Apeach Vodka!

Cantaloupe, strawberries, oranges...anything along those lines. You might consider making PJ juice with everclear rather than using vodka. Just a suggestion. Also dropping gum in the mix adds a little nice surprise.

Nothing like planning ahead.
You should have brought this up last Monday.
What fruit can you think of
Plan a tray of fresh fruit.
You might try a full 24 + the time to shop, the time to prepare, peal, slice, or ball and garnish and arrange

One great party dish I do is Bloody Mary Bites:

Soak Cherry Tomatoes in vodka overnight (I poke little holes in them w/ a toothpick, and it's good with Absolute Peppar) The next day spear them with toothpicks and serve on a pretty plate sprinkled heavily with Kosher salt.

Stawberries and pineapple. Start soaking RIGHT NOW. The fruit juices will infuse with the vodka, so you can use it to make yummy drinks.

Any melon or berry, for a Southwestern effect on the side have slices of limes, salt and very fine chili powder to be sprinkled on the fruit. I would soak the melons for atleast 2 hours and the berries for one.

soak olives or oranges .... oranges soaked in vodka give u a screwdriver taste
