If you put stella/magners into the freezer will it freeze?!

Question: I know spirits have a freezing point but does lager and cider? My fridge has broken and have been given a tiny tabletop one until I buy a new one.

If you must freeze it can I suggest that you decant it into a plastic container. Leaving it in the glass bottle is like water freezing in the pipes in your house. There is a lot of water in a bottle of lager and water expands as it freezes, unlike the glass which will contract. Result too much beer, not enough space and the glass will crack.
If you are just doing it to make a cold drink, why not buy a cooling sleeve which you can keep in your freezer, then about 15 minutes before you want to drink your beer/cider, put the bottle into the sleeve. It will cool the liquid for you.
anything will freeze if you make it cold enough
even pure alcohol
what % alcohol is it? beer freezes pretty easy and it is about 7%
Yes. But hey, Stella on a stick - it could catch on.
dont put them in the frezzer for too long! they swell really badly as they freeze and then they blow up, you will have a right mess in your fresszer to clean up.
I'm not sure if they freeze entirely but be very careful - I put a bottle of beer in the freezer to cool it down and forgot about it and it cracked and leaked all over the freezer.

It must be something to do with the gas in the bottle or something! Beer flavoured peas aren't as good as they sound!
You'll find that the water and the alcohol in any alcoholic beverage have different freezing points. Freezing said beverage then allowing it to melt naturally into a container has actually been used as a crude method of distillation by homebrewers.

*Edit* You let it melt until you're just left with a load of ice in the bottle, then you bottle it. Sometimes it aint nice, but it's always more alcoholic.
They will both freeze. I have found that if you leave them in the freezer for just an hour, they will be fine. Any more than that, and you'll get beer lollies.
Yes they will freeze, and when they thaw out they will taste really disgusting
Definately, i take it you mean to cool them down, not to freeze them altogether? We forgot about ours once and they exploded in the freezer because they were in glass bottles!
Yes, and it would explode, although not a big one explosion. You'll find pieces of glass and frozen beer/cider everywhere. Cans sometimes they just freeze, but sometimes the metal cracks and stuff comes out freezing all over.

If you need to cool something fast, by all means use the freezer, but also use a kitchen timer and set it at 10 mins, so you won't forget and end having to clean your freezer, lol
Cider and lager will freeze in an ordinary home freezer, And yes 80 proof liquor will freeze, But not in your freezer....
yeh it will. i made beer loli pops and it was disgusting so dont try it. but it will freeze so will have to defrost them if you do.
