Alcohol is a generic term for ethanol, which is a particular type of alcohol produced by the fermentation of many foodstuffs.

Ethanol produces intoxication because of its depressive effects on various areas of the brain causing these impairments in a progressive order as the person gets more and more drunk:
Disinhibition of normal social functioning (excessive talking, showing off)
Loss of memory
Confusion
Disorientation
Movement not coordinated
Progressive lethargy
Coma
Ultimately the shutdown of the respiratory centers (death)
It screws your equlibrium up in the brain,it's a toxin to the body.
Same as any other drug it messes you up if you take too much.
It's the ethanol apparently! Don't care what it is....don't like it! We've spent a few tipsy evenings wishing we hadn't in the past and due to medication we can't drink at all now...which is more than fine by us!!
Hi alcohol is fermented so it then contains toxins which interfere with your brain making u drunk
I ain't sure, but I guess it is the volume of alcochol in the drink. I mean 4.5 vol in a beer don't sound like much, but 10 times it and everyone looks ugly or attractive depending n how you react to it!
