Cooking pasta with white wine HELP!!!?!

Question:

Cooking pasta with white wine HELP!!!?

i am making shrimp pasta and it asks for 1/2 a cup of white wine. is there any substitute (non alcoholic) that i could use in its place?

Answers:
try 7up, nice light flavor for shrimp

Do you have any chicken or vegetable stock? I would sub that in, instead....

Just use a stock cube or water and it will be fine

Go for a low sodium vegetable stock. Animal stock (chicken or beef) will throw off the flavor since you are using shrimp. Bouillion cubes have way too much sodium, it tastes like little more than salt.

try non alchoholic wine. you can get it at the grocery store, cheap. just get n/a chardonnay.
keep in mind the alchohol is getting cooked out, but if you are underage, then buy the n/a stuff
