Bourbon is made only in Kentucky.
Jack Daniels and southern comfort are not bourbon- hell, southern comfort isn't even whiskey.
Jim Beam is bourbon, but Maker's Mark, Woodford reserve, are better.
Personally, I prefer scotch, much more flavor.

To be Bourbon it has to be made in Kentucky. Jim Beam is definitely the most popular. Other options are:

Bourbon whiskey is American. It is distilled from corn (presumably this is what the rest of the world calls maize), oats, rye & malted barley.

(I can't stand the stuff. I much prefer rye whiskey.)
