Which is a worse alcoholic??!
B. A person who is able to drink 24+ bottles everytime they drink, which is once a month.
Answers: A. A person who is able to drink 2 bottles per day.
B. A person who is able to drink 24+ bottles everytime they drink, which is once a month.
Person B is much worse. 24+ bottles at one time, even if it's over a few hours is bad for your body and can cause severe alcohol poisoning which could very easily result in death. The liver can filter 1/2 ounce of alcohol every hour and when you drink more that the liver can handle at one time you're brain and nervous system slow down which will cause you to pass out. If you pass out and there is still a lot of alcohol in your body that has not yet been digested (such as what might happen after you've drank even 15+) you will most likely die, if you don't puke it up. If you puke while you're passed out, you could choke on it which could also cause death. 24 or more drinks is severe alcohol abuse.
Person A is not considered an alcoholic because 2 drinks once a day will not cause alcohol poisoning and is much easier for your liver to filter. This is called social drinking which is not alcohol abuse.
You should also consider that one drink is:
1 - shot of hard liquor
1 - 12 oz. beer or,
1 - 5 oz. glass of wine.
These are all considered one drink. They all contain the same amount of alcohol. (Depending on % and proof)
The person that drinks 2 bottles a day is doing more damage but the 24+ bottles person could get alcohol poisioning.
i think the B. the 24 bottles of "what ever"could trun out to be really bad in the end
i'd say they are pretty much equal
Selection B is a binge drinker.
Selection A does not mean you are an alcoholic.
People assume because you consume alcohol you are an alcoholic. Drinking on a regular basis doe not mean you have a drinking problem. I have been around alcoholics. It is inside them. They have a personality type that is innate. It does not matter when or how often they drink, it is bad.
You can't classify one as better or worse, and you can't say because someone has 2 drinks a day they are an alcoholic. They may choose to have two drinks a day. This does not mean they are impulse driven with addictive personalities.
Alcoholism is a terrible disease. Your two parameters above are too generalized, too categorical.
a will get more damage but b is just gonna get seriously sick after each time they do that
I would think an alcoholic is an alcoholic and the addiction is the same no matter how it presents itself. They're equal.
B.
Person A is not an alcoholic.
Both are bad. Worse implies that there is a best alcoholic and there is not. An alcoholic is an alcoholic no matter how often or how much he drinks. If he/she is an alcoholic, there is no better or worse about it. A person that drink two bottles a day is drunk everyday and will probably die soon or kill someone while drunk. the one who drinks 24 bottles once a month will do the same, die or kill. Nothing better or worse about that.
B
The 24 bottles wouldn't be good for you & could be dangerous. The bottles a day doesn't necessarily make you an alcoholic. If the person just "HAS TO HAVE A BEER...RIGHT NOW!" Or finds they can't function or be happy unless they have that 2 beers a day, that might show a red flag. if a person is allergic to alcohol (like my grandfather was) 1 or 2 beers could cause them to seem like they drank that 24. So it also depends on the person, how they metabolize alcohol & the situation for which they choose to drink, as well as how they are affected by the drink.
Some cultures have a glass of wine everyday, for good health. I'm not much of a drinker, or a doctor, so I'm not an expert, but my car mechanic Tony always told me, "There's nothing like a good glass of Chianti a day to keep your blood strong!" Hmmm...food for thought!
well neither one is an alcoholic, unless person A is drinking two bottles of vodka a day... But I think your talking about beer
Neither, because they aren't the signs of an alcoholic. An alcoholic is someone whoes body has become dependent on the drug and can't function without it. Have you ever seen someone detox? It could actually kill them.
A is a regular drinker who probably should cut down, but as long as thier life isn't in shambles. ie: they can pay thier bills and go to work. They aren't an alcoholic.
B is a binge drinker who could potentially die from night of drinking.
Statistics show that B is more dangerous and life threatening, but niether would be considered an alcoholic.
2 bottles a day is probably the alcoholic, while the 24 plus beers once a month is just a binge drinker, which is still not a good thing. I spent the past four years living the college life style and never drank a case of beer in a day...........DAAMMNNN! who ever does that needs some help or an award.
