I've used a screwdriver in the past and push the cork down.

In case of emergencies like this in the future keep a screwtop bottle of lambrusco in.
I know it tastes like shite but anything will do in an emergency!
Can try using a knife, was able to open a bottle with one time but it kind of difficult. I would suggest just going to the store and spending $2 on a corkscrew.
just buy one, they are pretty cheap. if you won't and are desperate you can push the cork into the bottle with anything small enough to fit.
I'm pretty sure your lucky I have come across this question! I'm a one hundred percent red neck girl and I've opened too many bottles without a corkscrew!
1. Push the cork in with a pen or something! You can just pop it right into the bottle, doesn't affect the taste, you just can't recork it.
2. A knife or potatoe peeler works wonders if you need to recork it.
3. To be perfectly honest I just broke the top of the bottle once, just make sure you do it quick because it will get glass in the bottle if not!

Hope it helps and next time you have a second I'd run and buy a corkscrew because even I'll admit that it is easiest!
I have used a long screw and some pliers. I've also just pushed it in the bottle.
it would be so much easier to just get a new one at wall mart
If you have a flathead screwdriver/hammer, it will give you access to the 'vino' but the cork will be in the bottle. I ususally drink a whole bottle anyways so I would need the cork!
push it in or get some larger, that's a shame!!!
A hammer is radically quick and efficient

Screwdrivers are better to simulate Halloween murders
a screwdriver possibly, or go to Asda and get another corkscrew! lol
spray some starch on your curls and use your head.as seen on blue peter 1972.
i once realised i needed a corkscrew late at night so i took my hanging basket down and used the screw with a hook end. screw in to the cork then you can use the hook to pullit out! was a bit fiddly but came out eventually! x
hmmmm ya use that
OMG bex............this happened to me one night so knocked on the next door.............no shame me!

Hope you have manged to open it!
Just put your mouth over the cork end of the bottle and suck the cork out. I'm sure that will work for you.
Gallo - break the bottle (sorry most are screw top)
Any white zinfandel - shove the cork into the bottle
any bottle of wine less than five bucks - break the bottle
Fetzer - shove the cork into the bottle

any bottle between 5 and 10 bucks - shove cork into bottle

any bottle over 10 bucks - buy a new captains knife

any bottle over 25 bucks - have waiter open for you

good luck
use an actual screw not a tiny one, a long one! start driving it in with a screw driver, drive it enough so you can grip the actual screw.... then get like a dish towel grip the screw and pull PULL FIRMLY its actually easier if someone is holding the bottle and your pulling but becareful not spill ;)
screwdriver
