Been there tried that, i was of age, and the girl next to me was not and we tried to use her credit card and they wouldn't let us do it because they said they needed to see her I.D. which she conveniently "forgot" anyways they didn't sell us the alcohol. Her name was jade too, thats crazy.
All the liquor store cares about is the age of the person making the purchase. The scenario you describe is okay, assuming the purchaser has the permission of the cardholder to use the card.
Imnop, above, is correct: that's all the liquor store cares about. Guess what, that's not all the law enforcement organizations care about. If you are caught buying for a minor, you would be charged with "contributing to the delinquency of a minor,,, yada yada"
age factor is counted in purchasing wine, minimum age should be 18 years.and you can purchase it from credit card, cash and debit card but not through cheque.
It depends on how much the cashier is paying attention to the id and the credit card. It should raise a few red flags that the underage person is drinking as well. Why don't you use your money in the store and have the underage person pay you back at the atm?
pay for habbits in cash just good sound advice
I don't think it is legal to use someone else's credit card.
Most liquor stores will request ID anyway, and if the ID doesn't match the credit card, they might refuse the sale-they might even call the cops.
in the state of texas the underage person can not buy or consume alcohol. that means if you are under age and come to our resturant and you want to buy your moms drink, you CANT. you have to be 21 to purchase alcohol. but texas has some of the highest standards when it comes to buying, selling, and consuming alcohol. just check with your states alcohol and beverage commission.
Why would you use or let somebody use your credit card in the first place. Age or not of age, It's just stupid.
