I never pasturise my home made beer. The reason is that it would taint the flavour and evaporate the alcohol.

Only the more commercial products in bottles and cans are pasteurized.
Many draft beer and microbrew products are not. And the previous answer just nailed it, almost all home brew are not pasturized.
FYI, it does make a difference in taste.

Absolutely false-- Most real ales, and Belgians are living beers that have been neither pateurized nor filtered, filtering and pasteurization are typical among american macros but there are many craft beers and imports that are not--Try a Chimay Blue or Red for an example.
