How much alcohol???!

Question:

How much alcohol???

We are hosting a wedding reception brunch for 40 people, probably 30 of which will want a drink or two. We are only serving Bloody Mary's & Mimosas- how much vodka & champagne do we need to not run out??

Answers:
it all depends on the people that are coming just allow so many ahead because some people do not drink but others will make up for them

at least a case of belvedere

I would not serve Bloody Marys at a wedding

To have enough that everyone could have one of each, you would need about 3 bottles of Vodka (I'd get 4 though, you might get one who like a big pour), and about 6 bottles of champagne. BTW: buy too much, then return the unopened ones to the store, most will take returns with a receipt, especially for an event.

I'm thinking that, for 30 people....for champage....people will drink less...so.....12 bottles....then as for vodka....more people would drink that I assume, but a lil goes a long way...soo....im gonna have to think about 15....But it depends on the size!

I can't say, but I do know that in most states if you serve to much alcohol, and someone gets in a wreck on the way home you are legally responsible, so please have a system to keep people from drinking to much.

figure 80 drinks to cover yourself. some will drink one some will drink three. It will all balance itself out in the end. 6 oz. per glass for 80 drinks.
50-60 will probably be the Mimosas and 30 will be bloody marys. 4 gallons of Vodka and 6 gallons of champagne.
