Normal and hardly ever lasts more than three days (if it does, you are probably sick with something else). Wikipedia knows.
That's weak sauce if your still feeling it. I drink myself stupid one night and am fine the next day.
honestly beloved...I'd suggest you stop drinking. I used to drink like a fiend and didnt think I could enjoy life without a margarita (tequilla was my alcohol of choice).

I havent had a drink in almost two years and I dont miss that 'coming down hard' after a night of 'fun' one bit. Not because Im on the wagon, but because Im a Christian.
Drink water. Your body is probably still dehydrated. Gatorade will help restore your electrolytes as well. Oh and eat something good for you, like a turkey sandwich on wheat with lettuce.
This has happened to me before. I am going to go with the dehydrated theory, try drinking lots of water and get some rest. You should feel back to normal in no time.
8 shots is a lot of tequila, and that stuff goes straigt to your head. I would suspect maybe a slight hint alcohol poisoning. You're not dying, it seems, so another good nights sleep and plenty of water (Mother Natures medicine) should set you up, but don't rule out going to the doctor if you still feel shitty in the morning.

Get well soon and don't let it put you off drinking ;-)
until you sober up
Tequilla is notorious for causing hard and long hangovers.
Gator ade will probably help as much as anything. One of my college friends recommended taking a shower, an aspirin, a (trip to the bathroom), and a nap. It has often helped for me.
Try not to overindulge again. Do not get drunk on tequilla.
