"Complete Guide to Single Malt Scotch" Michael Jackson
"Kindred Spirits" F. Paul Pacult
"The Illustrated History of Cigars" Bernard Le Roy
"The Ultimate Cigar Book" Richard Carleton Hacker

These are 4 absolute classics. If you read these cover to cover you'll have a great base of knowledge. Then get out there and start tasting. That's the best education.
