I like wine. But I heard it gives men.. Breasts. Is this entirely true?!

Question: I looked into it and after reading heaps about how red wine can reduce heart attacks, it can also (this is a dirct quote)

Boost estrogen. Alcoholic drinks, independently of alcohol content, contain plant hormones that produce estrogenic responses in post-menopausal women, says Judith S. Gavaler, of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. Such estrogen activity may help protect against heart disease, she says, and further explain the "French Paradox," which suggests red wine fights heart disease. In research, after removing all alcohol, she found that one glass of red wine triggered an estrogenic response in 92 percent of women; the figures were 83 percent for an ounce of bourbon and 77 percent for a can of beer or glass of white wine. More than one drink produced no greater effect.

I wouldnt think that it would be enough of a hormone altering drink that it would cause you to grow breasts, probably no more than genetically grown chickens that they pump full of hormones to make them grow faster.

no, only if you're drunk and getting a boob job.
only the french, but i think there bitches before the wine
Unless someone pops some oestrogen pills in the wine, no.
Yes, but only if you drink it with your left hand.
If that was true my friend would look like Pamela Anderson.........he loves Boone's Farm.
wine breasts as apposed to beer bellies... hmmm interesting concept... if a man starts growing breasts I wouldn't blame it on the wine... I'd blame it on all the pies he was eating.
