Red & white wine?!

Question:

Red & white wine?

hello everyone,
now i think a french person would be better to answer this question, but i will see how one of my fellow uk people will do.
I love wine, and i would drink it 24/7 if it wouldnt be classed as a problem lol. but i keep it to one glass a night before bed time.
but how do the lovely french (i dont mean it sarcasticly) manage to drink wine, with out it affecting there weight?

a glass of wine, helps me be myself, and helps me be a more caring loving person, in many ways, and i enjoy A glass of wine. But i know the French people enjoy it with a meal.

(i am not saying every french person does, but from what i know, it is well excepted, and also, it is much better doing that, than binge drinking, so they have good heads for doing that lol, because all i know is, binge drinking makes you feel sick, (thankfully i am a mummy and those days are over hehe).

if anyone can advice i would appreciate it

thanks xx

you really have to drink a lot for it to have a noticeable effect on your weight. When u mean "the french" i think you mean continental. continental drinking culture goes hand in hand with good food and tradition (no wine is grown in Britain). I wouldnt say they have gallons of the stuff. They are renowned for being wine drinkers because they know it well and appreciate its worth. Same with food. fine french cuisine w a glass of st emillion, as opposed to fish and chip and 10 pint of cider. make sense?

You have a teeny weeny problem if you feel like you want to drink 24/7 and it does not make anyone a more caring person at all...its a drug it makes you drunk....I like wine as well, but you may notice that the French unlike the Brits drink it as an accompaniment to a meal not instead of the meal, like we Brits do.....By all means have a drink, but with a meal and in moderation..no problem with weight gain then...

Well, I would say have a small glass of wine, or cut the calories in another part of your diet. Even better, take a half hour walk. Not only will it use the extra calories in that glass of wine you enjoy, but it will also help with the stress in your life. But, just be careful not to consume more than one glass a night. It could become a bad habit.

red wine

it is not just the french that appreciate wine!
what about the italians?they drink wine as if it is mineral water!
a good glass of wine compliments the food we are eating!
i like the odd white glass every now & then BUT i will not make it as a ruotine as that's how the bad habit starts!
then again!what IF we gain weight if we drink every now & then?what's the point of living if we cant even enjoy it?

I'm sorry, what's your question? What do you care what the French do? Sounds like you're doing just fine with your one glass of wine a night.

Red is heathier for as it's packed with antioxidants (= love). You could always bite the bullet and go for somehting from both camps and go for a fine rosé.
