Beer Allergy... Need help to find something I can drink..?!

Question:

Beer Allergy... Need help to find something I can drink..?

Ok so over the last couple years, I have noticed that when I drink Miller LIte (even just one or two), I have the WORST sinus headache the next day. I have been looking up information and recently trying to scour the internet for ingrediant charts for all the most popular beer available. I do not know if I am alergic to the wheat, yeast, hopps or what, but if I can find ingredients on these, I can rule them out one by one and maybe find something that works for me.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, what do you drink.. I am a beer girl and yes, I know I can stop drinking beer but if there is another option.. I would love to hear it.

I did hear Bud came out with a wheat free brew.. I will try that but would really like some other advise.

I am the same, but in reverse. I can drink Miller products and be fine (drunk as hell, but fine). Even one Bud Light and I am hungover the next day - I finally found out it is the different hops.

Try Sam Adams Lite. They use different hops than the macrobrewers in the states, and frankly it tastes better - definately worth the extra money in the long run.

I live next to the Sam Adams brewery in Boston and have been a "regular" on their brewery tour :)

I have this same problem with certain beers...I don't really know what the exact cause of it is, either! I also cannot drink captain morgan - as much as I love it...it also gives me a terrible sinus headache!
If you like lite beers, try Sam Adams Light. It is a little more expensive, but worth not having a pounding headache all night!
It has worked for me!

A lot of people are allergic to yeast. I knew a guy once that used to get INSANE while drinking, turned out he was allergic to hops AND yeast. If it's yeast...you may be out of luck. Leave the cheap stuff alone and start trying some different stuff. Go to a microbrewery and talk to them about beermaking.

I HAVE HAD TO SWITCH TO LONG ISLAND ICED TEA,MIXED WITH SPRITE.
THE SAME AFFECT,WITHOUT THE PROBLEMS.
MY BOYFRIEND CAN ONLY DRINK NATURAL LIGHT,BECAUSE HE IS ALLERGIC TO ALL OTHER BEERS.

Try beers that are not made with wheat or barley, such as Redbridge, which is made with sorghum. It is widely available.

You might try a Gluten-free beer.
My brother swears by it.

You may also be allergic to the malt in the beer. Can you drink wine coolers? If the answer is no, then it may be the malt.

Just stick with liquer! Maybe a nice tall Crown & Sprite!

Honey, i'm 44 years old and telling you from an adults point
of view. Quit drinkng. Later down the road, your figure will
look awful. You will develope a big beer belly. I know from experience. And when you drink, you just don't care about other peoples feelings. You will get to the point were you don't even care about your apparance. My advice. Quit!

I like beer too, but not cheap crappy beer like Miller. Don't waste your time or effort-no wonder you feel sick...
Seriously... stick to quality imports. Taste matters and quality beers will probably not make you sick!
