Does beer make anyone else sneeze?!

Question:

Does beer make anyone else sneeze?

The first few beers I drink I always sneeze and my nose tends to stop up. After about the third beer it stops and everything is OK. Anyone know why this happens or does anyone else ever have this problem? Thanks alot!

You're mildly allergic to wheat, yeast or hops.

Im allergic to yeast.

You must have a slight allergy to one or more of the ingredients such as wheat or hops. It's fairly common.

I can't imagine how beer could make anybody sneeze. Maybe there is something in the foam that sets off your sinuses. The yeast, maybe? Some people have yeast allergies.

Yet for some reason the sneezing stops. Odd that your nose would quickly become de-sensitized yet regain its sensitivity after you cease drinking.

Does this happen only with beer? Or do you have this problem with any other potent potables, such as wine or rum?

A lot of people have the same problem as you and it's because of the hops.
