Bananas are good in the refri???!

Question:

Bananas are good in the refri???

Answers:
No they will go bad alot faster in the cold. Keep bananas in a cool place or just on a table or counter top if they are already ripe. Flouresent lights will also turn bananas to mush fast if you have those in your kitchen.

cold is not good for bananas, get a banana tree and if you like to eat them cold, put one in the fridge for the next day.

When you put banana's in the fridge, the peel will turn black very quickly; if you are looking to be able to use them in a drink later; i suggest you peel the banana and freeze it; then when you want to use in a drink; you can let it thaw and blend away!

Putting a banana in the refer is a good thing, the skin turns brown in a moment but the fruit itself does not rot and is good to go for a longer time than fermenting on the counter and getting brown spots and getting mushy. Saw this from a chef on the net. I tried it and it is true. If they go beyond the point that you want to eat them then peel and smoosh and freeze in 2 cup quantities to use in recipes for banana nut bread or cake etc.
