My boss is about to turn 50. I need some gift ideas.?!

Question:

My boss is about to turn 50. I need some gift ideas.?

He is a physician and I am his primary nurse. We are all throwing a surprise party for him and I need to get him something. He really enjoys wines and would like to get him a nice bottle but I know very little about wine. Could someone advise me in this area? Let me know if you know of any other ideas as well. I want to stay in the 40-50 dollar range. Thanks!

Answers:
Golfing gift certificate to a nice local country club.

50 is silver, oh wait, that's anniversary. Try a $50 gift certificate to a nice restaurant, so he can have a nice dinner on or after his birthday. $50 cuz he's 50 and a gift cert cuz it's not too personal.

or get him a dance a gram he might get a kick outta it, my old boss loved it and his wife found it hilarous

i reccomend a fine scotch. you should be able to get him something pretty nice in your price range. gelnfiddich and makers mark are both excellent choices.

Consider a Newton 2001 Merlot

Champagne also makes a great gift! The Moet & Chandon brand is in that price range.

A great idea for a personal and unique gift is a handmade painting made from a photo that you send.
