no..alcohol keeps it from 'expiring"..
but , beer is a lower percent of alcohol ( it will freeze..higher percent alcohol will not freeze ) it will not "go bad" but it will change in taste and get stale after a certain amount of time..

The only thing I know for sure is that wine that's not stored properly can go bad.

Like what? Hard liquors...I would say you are pretty much good. Wine.....nope. Beer......I think for the most part you are ok. Do the old fashioned taste test and see what you think. What are we talking about? 40 year old wine coolers? Toss them!
