Answers: Is there any way to make Absinthe taste any better? I love the smell but the taste seems not to be worth the buzz. I did the sugar but it still taste bad. Is it just one of those things where you have to grin and bare it to get the effect?

Whatever you do, if its 70% alcohol its going to taste bad. If you do anything to dilute it, to say 40%, and it still tastes bad, you should just switch to vodka, scotch, or rum.

Very very few people actually enjoy Absinthe. And it also doesn't have any hallucinogenic effects, that's just a myth.

We've tried a few recipes we got from the internet, including one that had baileys and milk with it, but no matter what you do, it's terrible, so best just gulp it down, if you like the buzz!
