How do i make jello shots?!
Answers: I want to make jello shots for my Halloween party but i don't want them to stick to the Dixie cups. Any tricks for having them slide out easy? Also what is the ratio of jello mix to alcohol to water?
Just follow the directions on the jello box. Boil 1 cup of water put the mix in then when it says add 1 cup of cold water, add 1 cup of alcohol instead. You could add more alcohol but the more alcohol you add they will take longer to set or depending on if there is too much alcohol will not set since alcohol has a low freezing point. At most party supply stores you could find small plastic cups that work very well to avoid the stickiness problem of paper cups. Hope that helps.
same as veg said..but let the boiled water cool before adding alcohol..otherwize it will boil out some of the alcohol's affects...it dont have to cold just warm..i have found that this works a lot better
Oil the cups lightly with a cooking spray....or set them in warm water for a few minutes before you shoot them to help them slide out of the cups!!!
follow the directions on the box but half the quantity of liquid and substitute vodka for the cold water (put it in the freezer over night first) then put the mixture in the fridge for twice as long as it says on the box.
