How to make the perfect margarita?

What are your secrets to the perfect margarita? Use a blender or smoothie machine? Which taquila do you prefer? Share your tips please! TIA


Answers:
1 part Triple Sec, 1 part Lime Juice (100% lime juice, not the sweetened stuff), 2-3 parts Tequila (I prefer 3), lots of ice, and salt on the rim if you like it. I prefer them on the rocks, but you can blend it too.

Use a Silver (clear) tequila (I recommend Sauza Silver).

Stay away from Cuervo Gold. All "gold" tequilas are artificially colored to make them look like aged tequilas.

Tequilas that are aged (Reposados and Anejos) are higher quality and should be sipped directly. Putting them into a margarita or other mixed drink is a waste of good tequila. Silver tequila is younger, cheaper, and perfect for margaritas.

I also recommend staying away from margarita mixes. They are mostly sugar, don't make very good margaritas, and will give you one hell of a hangover if you drink too much.

6 teaspoons salt and pepper
3 cups of sugar
8 teaspoons of water
4 tablespoons of finely chopped garlic cloves

2 jars of dill pickles, grated
5 tablespoons of vodka

With a pour spout in the bottle 3 counts of tequila 4 counts of sweet and sour mix 2 counts of triple sec and 1 count of rose's lime juice over ice in a blender................perfect be sure to rim the glass with salt

Silver tequilla is the best! Patron is my favorite, but Quervo 1800 silver is good too. If you go with a store bought mix, use the Quervo 1800 mix or throw in just a little bit of OJ or Triple Sec in the mix you use. On the rocks is the best!!!

I'm not a good tequila drinker but here's a good margarita it's called an Italian Margarita. Take 2 ounces of Sauza tequila 1 ounce of Ameretto mix sweet and sour mix with orange juice you can have it on the rocks or frozen. Use sugar and salt on the rim, it's delicious.

1 1/2 oz silver tequila
3/4 oz grand marnier
2 wedges fresh lime
Sweet and sour to taste
Splash orange juice

Shake all together and strain into a martini glass with a salted rim. Garnish with a lime wedge and an olive. That's the classic perfect margarita.
