How do you make a frozen strawberry margarita??!

Question: The ingredients I have:
Tequila
Cointreau
Frozen Strawberries
Ice (obviously)
cold lime cordial

My husband has attempted to make a frozen strawberry margarita with these ingredients except the strawberries weren't frozen... anyway the drink came out really watery and not very nice. I don't know if too much tequila was put in or what. How much of each ingredient should I put in and how can we make it come out really cold and slushy??

Strawberries alone don't have near the amount of sugar that the mix that most bars or restuarants use. Try adding some sugar next time to sweeten it up, as I' presuming that's where the "not very nice" taste came from.

As for measuring liquor, just use a shot glass. And with Strawberry Margarita's there's no need to add Triple Sec or Couintreau, the strawberries flavor the drink.

Try this:

2 cups of ice
1 shot glass of lime juice
2 shot glasses of tequila
7 or 8 strawberries
1 tsp sugar

Blend until smooth. If still runny, add a few more ice cubes and blend again. If too firm, add a bit more tequila (more's always better, right?) and blend again.

Enjoy!

The ingredients are fine if its to runny just add more ice and blend it until it thicker
