I prefer red wine.

That all depends on what you're looking for--red or white, sweet or dry, etc.

A few good beginner inexpensive wines:
Columbia Winery Riesling (sweet white, around $10)
Fetzer Gewurtztraminer (sweet, also spicy heavy white-$10)
Bogle Merlot (red, plum accents, pleasant-$10)
Evolution (off-dry white meritage [made from 9 diff. grapes]--goes with everything, a real crowd pleaser for red and white drinkers-$15)

If you really don't care for the aquired taste of reds, a very cheap wine I'm sure you'll like is Gallo Cafe Zinfandel. It's $5 and actually tastes pretty good (has a little zip to it) and can be drank at room temp or chilled.

red wine white wine?

Australian wines are supposed to be some of the best cheaper wines. They're priced a little cheaper because the region hasn't gain notoriety yet like countries like Italy and France, but they are still very high quality.

i like sutter home white zen and
stone hill concord

First off start with white.. Secondly, rarely every go under $17 a bottle for any reason.

Not saying they are all bad but that should be the minimum so start at..

:)

Cheap? Any wine that comes in a box would work

when it comes to cheap wine Im partial to, "Yellow Tail" Pinot Grigio. Its very good.

Mogan David blackberry

Yellowtail is great! I recommend that you go straight for the red wines. There are many beneficial health reasons for going with red, plus they're sexy LOOKING, and they taste rich and full. I recommend the Cabernet Saviagnon.

Also, Avalon is a great wine, as well as McMannis. All are under $10 or 11, and they are as good or better than the expensive stuff.

For an even cheaper wine experience, Carlos Rossi jugs are pretty good too. They have good Chianti, as well as burgundy.

dont waste yer time on them fancy wines and dont drank any of them cheap wines go for some turning leaf Chardonnay or some pinot gregio

look for a brand named mirassou. all of their wines are great and ive found vintages as old as 2002 in the grocery store.

Lots of reasonably priced wines around.

I prefer reds. Plenty of nice ones for under $10.

Spanish Tempranillos are probably the strongest flavoured, Cabarnet Sauvingnon and shiraz are full flavoured as well. Merlot and Chianti are lighter.

I'm not too much into white

Austrailiain wines are a good choice check out Yellow Tail,Lindemans and Gumdale wines.
