Well, it started out
at gatherings
like 'poker'
and 'barbeque'
I'd pick me up
a 'six pack'
just before
some 'pool'
and late at night
with the 'football game'
my wife taped
off for me
I'd down my 'suds'
with a 'Subway' sub
and 'buzz' myself
to sleep....

Beer helped me out
with my daughter
who married
such a 'tool'
It got me
all my credits
I needed
to finish school
It's helped me
through the hard times
when Junior said
he'd like to be girl
