Not a whole lot.
Let me rephrase that...there's not a whole lot of difference in how it's made in comparison to *good* absinthes made overseas. It's made by the same person/distillery that produces the Jade line of absinthes in France.
In comparison to the Czech absinths (they don't spell it with the 'e') it's quite different. Czech absinths are notoriously nasty ad the overwhelming majority are marketed to the mis-belief that absinthe is a hallucinogen (specifically the chemical "thujone" that is derived from some of the ingredients). They add oils and extracts and steep the wrong herbs, all of which makes for a really nasty drink.
