Has anyone heard that beer prices are gonna go up because of bad hops crops?!

Question: why I have because the taste and texture of the beer souly depends on the Hops and hops growers have to go farther out to get some because of the climate and most of the places where they are naturally grown are in a terrible drought in which causing the growers to either replant some or buy some from a neighboring city or state in which causing a price hike in the Beer distrubition

Nothing at all. Its just on sale as usual.

I hope this is just hear say.

I dont know

B'coz

I dont take beer,wine etc

The price of wheat is up 60% in the last twelve months ... Barley is likely not far behind ... that would cause the price rise ...

If they do...Drink MeisterBrau, that sh*t is like 2 bucks a case. lol

I haven't heard that, but I have heard that because of recycling and the price of aluminum that kegs cost bars more money right up front. Also when you go to the liquor store you have to buy a permit to be posted on that keg. At least that is in Indiana. Happy partying.

what? bad cops? that stuff is legal and they are in my territory now. Better not mess with my beer. I drink alone because I prefer to be by myself.

Yes, I have but what else is new.

i sure hope not love my luckys...bad hops crops sounds pretty bad ..i wouldnt want to catch it

nope

Beer Marketer's Insights has reported that. It was not as much a bad crop as much as Anheuser Busch upping the hop content in Bud Light to get its flavor profile in line with Miller Lite. And loss of farmland to grains for bio-fuels. Hops only grow in the Pacific Northwest in the US, they are really contrary to grow.

As for other costs, brewers have increased energy and metal costs, as well as high glass costs. Keg losses to junkyards cost $55 million+ per year! Coors is buying 195,000 new kegs before next summer to replace losses!

All in all, prices will rise due to increased costs in all materials!

just saw the news cast. It's not bad hops, but that some microbreweries cannot get enough quantity. Demand is outstripping supply.
