Where can I buy alcohol for my wedding for 150 people on a really tight budget?!
Answers: My fiance and I are on a very tight budget. Our caterer is wonderful and provides us with a bartender and we want to serve wine and a signature drink ( such as a mango mojito)... because it's a fall colored themed wedding. We can save money by bringing our own liquor and the bartender will make and serve all of the drinks. Where can we buy alcohol in bulk ( specifically for our mojito) and good wine?
Depending on your state. Some have outlets if they are bordering other states, like Vermont does and it's cheap. If that isn't eh case go to a local package store and ask them for a bulk price on what you want and see what kind of break they will give to you. They may want the money up front and make sure to get it earlier than you need it so you aren't left short. If the state is controlled by an Alcohol Board, like Virginia, you have to buy from the state alcohol for the hard liquor and the beer you can try dealing for at any store, usually a smaller one that is privately owned will be better. Try a few and see how good you can get it for. Good luck, congrats and you are smart for being thrifty, it will be over in a flash.
buy it in liquor shop
costco
call a winery in the Finger Lakes region of NY State and see how you can get it by the case/barrel
ASK THE INDIANS
i would sit up a bar with a couple of kegs of beer.also i would have a big tub full of different single servings of wine and let the guests serve their selfs.ditch the bartender and let everyone do it their selfs.you can save a few hundred dollars doing it like that.
If you live in the Chicago Heights area there's always Geno's Goat Club. Say Mitch sent ya
A lot of people these days, make their own wedding wine.
Those places that sell the kits will do it & store it for you.
But you need 30 to 60 days minimum to make a batch.
make your own.......
wal-mart
Seeing that you are located in the DC Metro area, there are PLENTY of ABC stores, especially in VA. Do a search for some and make some phone calls. Also, if you know anyone in the military they can assist you with getting less expensive alcohol products on base. There are many military bases in the DC Metro area.
Good luck and best wishes!
It really depends..If you have like a wholesale liquor place nearby. we bought ours from the grocery store.
If you have a bevo nearby, they are always doing the buy one bottle of wine, get one for 5cents deal. Or Trader Joes. They always have good deals when you buy a large amount of wine. As for your signature drink, just go to costco and buy the cheapest non brand liquor that you can. Nobody will know the diffence and it will save you a ton of money!
