Has anyone ever heard of or tasted "Laetitia" wine?!

Question: Someone has promised to buy some for me on my birthday, I thought they were just kidding, I work with alot of "pseudo" scholars and historians that are always claiming to have knowledge about the origin, spelling, and history of my name, and things associated with it. Are they just yanking my chain?

Hi Laetitia

There is indeed Laetitia wine -- it comes from Laetitia Vineyards and Winery which is located in the Arroyo Grande Valley in California.

The winery was set up in 1982 by the French Champagne House 'Champagne Deutz' because they found the area similar to Epernay in Champagne suitable for growing grapes for sparkling wine.

The winery was bought in 1997 by Jean-Claude Tardivat who renamed the winery 'Laetitia' after his daughter.

The winery website at http://www.laetitiawine.com has a full history and details about the vineyards and wines they produce.

And you can visit the winery - it is at

453 Laetitia Vineyard Drive
Arroyo Grande, CA 93420
phone: 805 481-1772
1-888-809-VINE

So you are one lucky woman -- you can have wines on your table that look as if they were labelled especially for you!!

Enjoy

I have tried a pinot noir that was very good around $19.99.
