Why does drinking alcohol make you feel...?!

Question: Why is it that when I wake up with a hang over I feel dizzy, confused, and like I did something horrible? I always get a regretful, embarrassed feeling. Does this happen to anybody else?

Your body is going through a form of withdrawal from the alcohol
this is the hang over you are having, Nausea, head aches, confusion, dizziness, and nervous stress.

no. and i never get hangovers. its quite weird actually...

I don't think guilt is a "normal" after-effect of drinking. Maybe it's something besides the actual drinking that's making you feel that way...?

The hangover is due to lack of water. Alcohol absorbs it, drawing it out of your tissues, and is one reason why you end up in the bathroom to relieve your bladder so often when drinking.

O good idea is to drink some water before bed, and I've had good luck with sports drinks like Gatorade or Powerade in the morning to reduce the hangover.

The embarassment and regret is just your mindset. If you feel guilty or whatever, then do drink so much.

Because alcohol is a poison dude. You are poisoning your body.

Also, you don`t remember what you did, and you know you screwed up, so you already feel guilty.
Please please please stop now while you can.

You know, no one starts out, to be, an alcoholic. But that is the road you are on.. I am praying you make it out..

Peace & God bless from Texas. <><

Yeah, talk to people you were drinking with and they will tell you how you acted that night I felt bad and embarresed at times but hey party on!

Everything in excess is bad may it be food, soft drink or alcohol.

If one wants to enjoy it then it should be taken in moderation so that one does not wake up feeling dizzy.

it should be enjoyable and pleasure and not painful and embarassing.

Everyone who over drinks feels the same way.
