Cobalt and beer?!

Question:

Cobalt and beer?

I just found out that I'm a little bit allergic to "cobalt" which is in beer, coffee, nuts, tea etc. Do all beers have cobalt in them? And if not, does anyone know which beers are cobalt-free?

Answers:
Cobalt-containing compounds are added to some beers to stabilize the foam that forms.

The problem is that the brewing and distilling industries have been granted exceptions to the requirement for listing ingredients on the packaging with which all other foodstuffs must comply. To find out which beers contain cobalt, you'll have to call the brewing company and ask directly.

Good luck.

colbat in beer? never heard of that...
