Is bush mills whiskey Irish?!

Question:

Is bush mills whiskey Irish?

Answers:
Yup. Jamison is drunk by the Catholics and Old Bushmills by the Protestants.

In Ireland, and even in very Irish bars here, you won't ever find the two bottles in the same bar.

yes

It sure is.

Bushmill's. Yes.

Absolutely. From the oldest distillery in the world I believe.

Additional: Thanks to ashley (below). I never knew that about Catholic/Protestant whiskey divide! Cheers!

yes, it is Irish, and it is also the world's oldest legal distillery.

yes it is.

I don't have a bottle in front of me
What does the label SAY.
Many manufactures ship their bulk product and have it bottled by other companies.
As for the religious angle - - sounds far feched to me.

Who really cares?Get it down your neck and enjoy!!!!

All whiskey spelt whiskey is Irish. Scotch is spelt whisky
btw it's all one word Bushmills

We could get very political here. Yes it is - but it is Northern Irish, hence the preference by the Protestants (see other answers). Why whiskey should have a religious connection baffles me, but the same reasoning used to apply to lager!

Yes it is if whiskey is spelt with an e it is irish but if it is spelt whisky is is scottish
