Does wine make you lose weight?!

Question: I heard alcohol makes you gain weight, but not wine. Is this true?

Answers: I heard alcohol makes you gain weight, but not wine. Is this true?

No it doesn't. It's an energetic drink that includes lots of antioxidants and vitamins. A glass of wine helps your health and your digestion processes but doesn't make you lose weight.

no, all alcohol contains calories. They will all make you gain weight if you eat/drink more than you need.

Sorry, that's not true.

Stick to gin and tonic if you're trying to avoid calories.

No you will put weight on if you drink any kind of alcohol

I never heard that wine can help reduce weight....Not True...

No it just adds more calories to your diet instead of losing weight and to much wine is not good for your health.

all alcohol, no matter what kind, including wine is considered empty calories. No nutritional value, but your body can turn the alcohol into fat if drunk in too large of a quantity, which can make you gain weight. wine does not make you lose weight either.

though in terms of picking a less caloric drink, wine is your best bet, as it has generally the least amount of calories when compared to things like beer and hard liquor or mixed drinks. 5 oz glass of wine is only about 100 calories.
