My biggest tip as a server was from a celebrity who knew I knew who he was but the owners who were from Italy had no idea who he was. I introduced them before the celebrity's party arrived and then waited on them. The bill was $800.00 and I got a $400.00 tip in cash. I waited on this celeb until I left the place and he would always tip me himself regardless of who paid the tab. Oddly enough this celeb was a former pro football player who had tons of class and told me he worked as server while in college.
