Did you ever go to a bar that you thought was great but called a dump by your Friends?!

Question: Yes. I go to this hole in the wall bar every Friday and I have my regular friends that I meet up with there. But, my other friends refuse to go there. A lot of people think it's a old mans bar so they don't think that there's any excitment there.

I like "hole in the wall bars". People are REAL there.

Yes, my boyfriend hated a bar that I loved, so I went there by myself, had fun and made new friends.

Yes, I go to a bar that most people call rough. But it is just a neighborhood bar and nothing fancy. The people are pretty much working stiffs and sports lovers.

no. it probably WAS a dump.

yea, who cares? just have fun and tell your friends to have a drink and loosen up!

yup granted the dive bars have the cheap drinks and bartenders that will give you buy backs/ freebies and you go often enough it is like cheers besides you meet some interesting characters and a whole new group of friends in dive bars. Hell if you only go where your friends accept life really gets kinda boringa fter a while. Truth be told who cares if they like it or not, if you are having a great time they may or maynot come around . I used to go to Mona's, Aztec, dwntwn Beirut, Cherry Tavern, Flannery's, 7B, Niagra among a few and of course the bar that had no name in the east village also pool bar, years ago now we go to Flannery's and the corner spot some friends come grudgingly but they always seem to have a blast they can come if they wanna or not

Every weekend.

Some of the hole in wall bars are alot of fun.

Dive bars are the best anyway. Who cares.

What, you'd rather pay $10 for every drink and be surrounded by self-absorbed snobs trying to impress their self-absorbed snob friends? Not me. Stiff drinks, friendly people, and low prices win every time.

The Nyabinghi in Youngstown Ohio... I loved that place. A great rockin' roll bar with an amazing beer selection. Some of my friends didn't like it cuz it was "dirty". Sh*t, the glasses were clean and that's all that matters.

yes,....."The Blue Moon",.....in Coss Bay, Oregon,.....a real divola,.....but a fun place,.....
