I am wanting to mail my husband some mountain dew in cans overseas? Does anyone know if this is possible?!

Question: How can I mail it without the cans exploding? It is going to a hot climate.

First of all, is it legal.
Being a pro shipper/packer all I can say is seal them up in heavy plastic vacuum bags.
Being an idealist, if he is in the military service, contact your local news station nd the MT Dew company and ask them if they would consider sending a shipment overseas. With the economy in the crapper it would be a great publicity stunt and wouldn't cost u a dime.

Check with the post office to see if this is permitted. I'm guessing no.

Go to http://www.usps.com ~ this is the post office website and it lists all rules about what is permitted or not and where you can send it to (or not) ~ I think you can even check prices for mailing there too!

I have had success mailing poptop cans of fruit to Iraq. They have all arrived safely. I know the outside temperature has reached 115 degrees at times. To be on the safe side you could double bag the cans in ziploc bags in case something happens.
Check out using priority flat rate mail with the USPS if you are mailing to someone in the military. The weight does not count with flat rate.
Good Luck!

just wrap it up good and tight and send it

i have good beers sent to me all the time without any question
