What are some healthy ways to get Protein?

Im looking for food and drink to eat to help build muscle

There is no need for suplements if you eat a proper diet, you will be much healthier if you eat a natural diet instead of man made or refined supplements and energy bars etc... The human body can not use the high amounts of protien that most get when taking suplements, it is a waste. Any excess is just converted to glucose or stored as fat, and it has been argued that it can even damage kidneys. Eat a balanced diet of whole foods and you will be fine.

Eat a lot of refried beans and meat

Copper river salmon ... fresh halibut.....organic dairy good whole grains just eat what a BEAR eats and you'll do just fine !

I like eating beans, but that is only half the story.......


Beans are an incomplete protien source, since they need some other half to make complete protiens in the human body. Rice is the the complimentary source of what is missing, so eating beans and rice is perfect. Low in fat, High in protein, Very good for your digestive system. My vote is for whole grains and beans for a high protein diet.

I don't really want to gain weight, so maybe a supplement is an option for you, but eating naturally is the best bet.

(those shakes or whatever you mix up are perfectly safe for you to gain weight, as long as you eat right)

I use just plain whey protein supplement, and drink it mixed with milk after I work out. Its best to take in protein within 90 min after a workout because thats when your protein absorbtion is ighest, but maintaining a higher protein diet helps. I dont use creatine or any of those other crap chemicals that mess with you, too close to steroids for me. White chicken breast is a good lean source of protein too, because it is low in fat. Milk and yogurts have alot of protein. Its good to stick with low fat, low cholesterol sources of protein, unless you are constantly active and do alot of exercises like running or swimming that burn fat, in that case you could eat eggs and stuff. But more than anything I recommend the protein supplements because they contain orotein isolates that get absorbed by your body very easily. good luck

Try soy milk, egg whites, fish.

Well you should eat more meat and fish, and avoid the food that contain carbohydrates.
For your information eating a lot of tuna fish is the best way to get proteins.
