Is it possible to buy european cigs without paying state taxes?
I live in TX and cigs are so expensive now. I've heard about people buying them much cheaper from europe. I've heard horror stories about people getting caught and getting a huge tax bill from the state. I found a site in europe that says they don't keep transaction records. How safe would this be? I could understand getting caught if you were buying a ton of cigs, but what about if you just order a carton or two? If you do order them from europe and they are put in your mailbox instead of the post office, how would anyone know? How would I find out the laws about ordering cigs online from my state?

I think you can still order them from Europe, but shipping would cost you about the same as the tax.
