At the moment it's 18, but there are some people saying that they're going to raise the age to 21.

its 18 - you can drink legally with parents consent ( as in a glass of wine) at home from 5 and from 14 you can have a glass of wine with parents consent in a restaurant.
Have fun - drink responsibly - don't forget to say hi to Hewey down the giant white phone for me ;)
It's 18 but some pubs and clubs have a 21 rule. There is talk of raising it to 21 in the near future. You can have wine with a meal in a restaurant at 16 if with an adult.

The age is 18, but take either a driver's license or passport everywhere as most places are hot on I.D.
Raising the age to 21 is only a rumour, the government have never said this is gonna happen. I've attached an article explaining where the rumours came from, and what the government think.
Legal drinking age is from 5 (five). You can drink at home or in private without breaking any laws
To buy a drink in a bar or pub it is generally 18 - there are exceptions, but if you'll be 18 when you get to UK you won't have any problems.
But its not sensible to get rat-arsed....
