Why is Killian's Irish Red beer red?!

Question:

Why is Killian's Irish Red beer red?

Answers:
Both responces while charming are dead wrong, it is the type of brewing method, the ingredients and the way it is bottled.

Like blonde ales, stout, bitters and weissbiere from Belguim, the name indicated the general brewing or ingredient content, just like ale is bottom fermented and lager top fermented.

because they put beetles as an ingredient..if u think it sounds stupid then ask an expert ;)

food coloring. It's made by Coors.

The "red" color comes from the blend of malted barley used in the beer making process.

erThe barley can be roasted sorta like coffee beans, having quite an effect on the color of the beer. Guinness for instance is actually a top fermented lager beer as is Coors or Budweiser but the barley is roasted to a dark color for a richer more complex flavor.

the way they roasted the barley during the brewing process
