Is there any alcohol beverages that are sugar free???!

Question: I heard theres one thats suitable for diabetics. Im not diabetic but i have to avoid sugar. I dont drink much anyways but i would like to have the option of having a drink once in awhile. My normal drink is beer but thats laced with sugar. Is there anything that would suit me??? Also would spirits be suitable to drink? I wouldnt imagine they would have much sugar in them. Also is there any sugar free mixer that i could use with them. Any info on any sugar free alcohol options would be appreciated. Cheers everyone :)

All alcohol converts to sugar and is therefore high in calories. Drink light beer, or a spritzer which is white wine mixed with soda water. Vodka and soda is a good drink. Soda water is sugar free but contains some salt. Believe it or not, vodka and diet coke is a good drink. Or rum and diet.

I think Bacardi is, but go on the website to double check...I know that they are calorie free and carb-free, especially if you mix it with Diet Coke. And if it's calorie free, then no, there's no sugar. Cheers right back to ya.

Read the following link. It explains the carbs in alcohol.

*******I don't believe that there are any calorie free alcohols; carb free does not mean calorie free.

I can't think of any drink that would sugar free.

Alcohol is a sugar. Better for you then "sugar" you buy at the store. It is a sugar though.

A lot of alcohols contain no sugar. Most all hard liquor is sugar free, dry wines, most beers. They do conatain calories. All alcohol contains calories. There is no calorie free alcohol, sorry. But not all calories are sugar.

Why do you have to avoid sugar? Are you allowed to consume fruit? More sugar in a peice of fruit than in a glass of wine or a beer.

The alcohol in the drink will fool your body into thinking it is sugar anyway. Alcohol is a death sentence for a Diabetic.
