Alcoholic Shirley Temple?!
Answers: I know a Shirley Temple is non-alcoholic, but is there a version of the drink with alcohol with a different name? Considering that Shirley Temple is a child star of long ago, I thought the bartender maybe omitted the alcohol and named the drink after her. And if there is, what liquor is added?
Alcoholic variations on the recipe exist, which are often served in bars under the original "Shirley Temple" name, or called "Shirley Temple Black" (made with Kahlua), "Dirty Shirley" (made with Vodka), "Robert Morri" and a "IZY Temple". You can always look up the drink recipes if you want to try them.
In the south, there is a drink, often served at college parties, composed of lemon-lime soft drink, grenadine, vodka, and garnished with a maraschino cherry, typically called a "Shirley Vomit," due to its similarity to a Shirley Temple and the obvious effects of too much alcohol being consumed.
I don't know if there is but why not add malibu coconut rum that may be good.
lol I thought that you were asking if she was an alcoholic!!!
lol
I'm sure if you want to make it alcoholic you could add whatever you want but it originated as a non-alcoholic.
Vodka
No, this was invented to be a "mocktail" or a "kiddie cocktail" drink and if alchohol is ever added, then I"m sure they have a name for it!
4 ounces Ginger Ale
2/3 ounce Grenadine
2 ounces Orange Juice
Build in a highball glass. Add Ginger Ale and orange juice over ice and sprinkle grenadine over it. Garnish with a lemon slice and a cherry.
Yeah, just add two shots of vodka to the ginger ale or 7-up, grenadine syrup, and orange juice. For obvious reasons leave leave the cherry off the top. That's called the Britney Spears. Works for me!
since Shirley Temple is 7up with cherries in it, any alcohol in it would be like 7 and 7 (7 Crown-7up) or Scotch and 7, Bourbon and 7 etc. You can toss a cherry in any of these.
Yes There Is!
It is a demonic alcoholic cocktail!
It's called Panty Elastic Snapper.
Don't drink it!
