Answers:
Kitchen Aid is a hardy blender. Mine lasted for several years.

my bf's parents just got the margaritaville blender, which i'm sure is pretty expensive, but it works REALLY well- you put the ice in a compartment and liquids in the actual blender jar, then the ice is shaved or blended BEFORE it goes into the blender jar...so that really all the blender jar does is combine these- and it's REALLY fast- better than using one blender that doesn't really get the ice all the way blended....it's awesome.

if you don't want to drop 300 dollars on a blender (which i wouldn't), i might still look at the blender and see if there are cheaper ones with the separate ice blender. i think that's the key!

ME!!! No, sorry. That was a bad joke, although my 23 year old son back from Iraq in the Army would LOVE to have heard me say that. I hope he doesn't. Again, sorry for the bad joke, if you understood it. God Bless you.

An Island OASIS blender, if you can find one. That is what a lot of restaurants use. The crushed ice is mixed with your liquid base and alcohol then it is blended. It creates a smoother texture in your drinks and it is built to withstand a restaurant level of use. Good luck to you!
