McManis Cab Sav - there are two of them currently sold in Tesco. If you are trying the £5 (approx) one try the £8.50 one. By golly is there a difference. Try Zinfandel for a change there is a reasonably priced one Ravenswood (you can get it in Tesco).
Want to move away from USA then go for South Africa. Anything with the name Flagstone. We are talking anything from (£5.50 to £15). They do some brilliant Syrah (Shiraz if you want to call it that). The great thing about red wines is there are so many to try that are great value. Go explore. Find out what you like rather than what anyone else likes. Need more suggestions e-mail me I'll suggest as many as you like! We alcoholics (sorry wine lovers) have some uses.
No, that is ok.
sorry pinky,i am a JD drinker.
Merlot is good too. Try woodbridge.
Just enjoying a cheeky little Pinot Noir - Yumm Yumm! (Delle Venezie) - cheap & cheerful from Aldi!!
I am unable to drink red wine as i suffer with gout. Thanks for reminding me how great it is, you nasty piece of work, you.
Love Steve.xxx
i think blossom hill is very nice.im haveing a beer at the moment.. cheers
ha, asking me that is a bit like asking the pope to quote his favourite text from the bible!
Australian Cab Sauv's are great. i prefer the tarty subtlety of the berry if i'm supping for pleasure but if its dinner then a deep earthy tipple would be my choice.
for a guaranteed good choice stick with the middle of the road price range like Hardy's, Lindermans, jacobs creek, Gallo etc
my faves are the price range of £8 and above.
when on special at half price of course. always a winner with me!
I had a rocking horse napa cab last night. Pretty good, perhaps a bit over ripe.
I'm making shepard's pie tonight, and have no guiness. So it might be zinfandel with shepards pie...
Rosemount estate/diamond label/ Shiraz Cabernet from South Eastern Australia
from one pinky to another ha ha lol, try a lovely Spanish tempranillo, its like an explosion of soft, sweet berries in ya mouth, its great slightly chilled too. enjoy x x
A couple of hearty reds I enjoy are Blue Jean Red and Vermonte Primus. They are a bit much for a lot of people I know though.
I also really enjoy Beringer Gamay Beaujolais.
Any of the single vineyard designate zinfandels from Ravenswood. I especially recommend the Dickerson's. Salud!
No, white. Just finishing off the 2nd bottle of a beautiful, crisp chablis. Hic.....
Yes please for me: Hardy's is tops and the ONLY French wine I buy is FITOU, OH BOY.
