Best Australian wine you`ve ever had?!

Question:

Best Australian wine you`ve ever had?

Answers:
The Dead Arm shiraz from d'Arenberg.

I swear it's one of the greatest wines ever. One of my very favorites. Expect to pay a pretty penny for it though. Here's a site with info on it... it has some interesting history.

Our wine is brilliant. Hooray for glorious Australia. I've got a nice bottle of Jim Barry, which is a good wine but expensive. Oh Degeorgio wines (not sure if thats how u spell degeorgio) are really really good, I'm from the limestone coast, but the barrossa valley makes really good wine too.

Anything from Wolf Blass is always good especially his Reisling.

ASTI SPUMONI

I'm a huge fan of Wirra Wirra Church Block blend. I also love a sparkling from a little Tasmanian vineyard just outside of Hobart called Puddleduck and their bubbly is called Puddleduck Sparkling Bubbleduck. Cockfighter's Ghost Pinot Noir is a great drop too. Queensland is coming home strong with some awesome wines, althought it's taken a few years for the rest of Oz to take us seriously as quality wine produces. There are some terrific semillons flying around from the Hinterland region of the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, Platypus by Canungra Valley Vineyard is so clean and Jimbour Estate further north does a good Merlot (I don't know why people bag Merlot - I think it's great)

Go the Aussie wines - I firmly believe we have the best wine in the world. Actually got to hand it to the Kiwi's - they make a damn good drop too

I'm a d'Arenberg fan too. Ironstone Pressings, Dead Arm or a lot less money Laughing Magpie. One of my favs

BTW Stump Jump is a d'Arenberg as well.

Best Australian ever - too hard, for me the best wine is when I enjoy it and myself.

Lately I am loving a Dolcetto Lagrein blend done by Heartland Wines (Limestone Coast/Langhorne Creek).

Yalumba, DeBortoli, Firefly, Yarraman, Tamar Ridge to name a few.

The one I puked-up this morning...

what's it called? stump jump? i also like lindeman's bin 555 as a not so expensive but nice wine for a night in.

Wolf Blass Yellow Label.

Bassado White Burgendy. Lovely dark plum wine from an south Australian winery. Mmmmm lovely.

Gumdale merlot,shiraz and chardonnay.

i dont drink. it's bad for you.
