What do you think is the best tequila to use in margaritas?!

Question: if you are using a margarita mix, any old tequila will do.

When making a "real" margarita (with triplesec and lime) use Patron or Heradura.

josa quarvo

jose cuevo

we use jose cuervo.

i like patron. i also like it straight.

Cuervo is kinda nasty and Petron is too nice to waste on a margarita. Use Sauza Hornitos or Cazadores.

Petron, Silver. check out their website, they have great recipes!

Anything except Cuervo (gold) if you ask me.

Doesn't matter much. Silver is traditional. Sauza is OK.

Herradura makes a fantastic silver tequila that makes an awesome margarita. It's head and shoulders better than patron silver at a fraction of the price. If you're making top shelf 'ritas you can't beat it.

Patron. Used to bar tend for a long time. Really good smooth taste, but will hit you hard if you have to much.
