Well or Call drink?!
When the waiter asked what brand I wanted, I said it didn't matter - thinking it was a "Well" drink and not wanting to get tricked into a "Call" drink price.
My husband thinks I ordered a "Call" drink anyhow. So bartenders, what's the verdict?
Answers: Last night I ordered a "Coke with Vanilla Vodka". I know several companies make a Vanilla version: Smirnoff, Skyy, Stolichnaya, etc.

Call ! Unless you are at a pretty high end bar, Smirnoff, Stoli, Skyy etc are not well brands, and to boot, well drinks are just basic liquors ie: whiskey/bourbon, vodka, gin, tequila, rum. Generally bars use the least expensive ones like Potters etc. Anything else is a call drink.
